On February 18th, the Lockport Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted the annual State of the City Address at Rancho Los Guzman in Joliet. Mayor Steven Streit, joined by his wife Wendy Streit, shared an inspiring look at the city’s progress, recent accomplishments, and vision for the future.

Mayor Streit highlighted several exciting developments coming to Lockport, including plans for bridge construction, the return of the Painted Benches Summer Art Series, and the community-favorite Search for the Internal Crystal collector card event. Attendees also got a preview of updates for beloved annual celebrations like Old Canal Days and Cruising into Lockport, which continue to draw residents and visitors together year after year.

The event offered valuable insight into the city’s growth and ongoing projects, while reinforcing Lockport’s commitment to building a vibrant future without losing the small-town charm that makes it special. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event a success. We look forward to another exciting year ahead for the City of Lockport!
